Hi there, my name is Nalin A. Ratnayake, and this is my photoblog. I was born in Seattle, grew up in Boise, went to school near Phoenix, and now live near Los Angeles. Needless to say, I love the Great American West! The western United States, primarily Arizona and Southern California, make up the bulk of my photography, as these latter two states are the places where I learned how to photograph. However, I love to travel, and take at least one of my cameras with me no matter where I go!
I first got into photography with little understanding and a 2 megpixel Fuji FinePix 2400 Zoom compact digital in 2006. Over time, I have acquired more knowledge and equipment, but I consider myself an amatuer, in the true sense of the word: from the Latin amat, love, I am indeed one who pursues this art simply because I love to do so.
