Thanks John, for the feedback. You're right, the detail on the dress was something I was chasing all day... but there never was time to really experiment to get the exposure right. A slight underexposure with some bounce flash from above on the face probably would have done the trick as you say, though one would have to be careful to not fill-flash out the dress again in the process. Something to try next time for sure!

MegaPixie, I don't mind at all! The custom picture style I used was sharpness 7, contrast +1, saturation +2, color tone neutral. Yes nearly all of the photos were post-processed. Cropping, sharpening, highlight/midtone/shadow adjust, and the rare noise removal were the main mods.

Thank you both for subscribing and commenting! I appreciate the feedback and questions.

The flower shot is beautiful! Question: if you don't mind revealing your methods, what settings did you have for your User Defined picture mode on the XTi? And were these post-processed in anyway? Thanks!

Mad props man, for surviving that. I remember my first wedding shoot, I was scared to death. Fortunately I had a more experienced photog there to guide me along... sounds like you did too, hopefully you learned something. Nice shots, what a great eye!

I would have dropped the exposure a tad on the Tri-X to get her dress details, and brought out her face with some fill flash... tsk tsk! ;) A minor detail though, well done.
